Student Leadership Transition Day

On Tuesday 12th November the Year 7 SRC representatives and House Captains spent the day at Victor Harbor High School, along with student leaders from other local primary schools, involved in workshops, presentations and team building activities organised by the High School Student Leaders.

This day is a continuation of the existing PEPS Student Leadership Day that occurs in Term 1, and assists the student leaders with transition to high school by strengthening the links between PEPS student leaders, other Primary School leaders and VHHS student leaders.

It was a great opportunity for the students to collaborate with the student leadership team and share their experiences and expectations of life in high school. We wish them all well with their future leadership goals and ambitions.

Sapsasa Football carnival

The boys football carnival was held at Encounter Bay Oval on Wednesday 21st August. Unfortunately, the team was short of players on the day due to illness, leaving us with 14 boys to play out all 5 games without a break. They tried their hardest and played with 100% effort and determination in every game. Thank you to Brett for coaching the boys. They really appreciated your encouraging style of coaching. Thanks again to all the parents who cheered us on and helped out on the day. We really appreciate and rely on this support. Finally, well done to the players. They represented PEPS beautifully. A great day had by all.

SAPSASA NETBALL CARNIVAL

On Wednesday 21st August 2019, we competed in a SAPSASA Netball Carnival at the Victor Harbor Netball Courts against 6 - 8 other schools.

The division 1 team consisted of Poppy W, Poppy S, Amber B, Sasha E, Gracie O, Mia S, Karly W, Maddi G and Ruby M. The division 2 team consisted of the younger players being Holly T, Ashlee H, Chloe B, Airlie U, Erin B, Ava T, Esther O, Jade P and April S.

Both teams have had little exposure to netball before the carnival, however this did not stop their determination and heart as they fought hard all day. Both teams showed great endurance by playing a total of nine 12 minute games each over the course of the day. A mammoth effort by all the girls!

Division 1 finished the day with two wins and a bunch of very close matches.
Division 2 played hard all day with some very close results.  Both teams showed tremendous growth throughout the day which resulted in some fantastic netball to watch.

A special thanks to Jodie Edwards for coaching the division 2 team, past student Harriet Overall for umpiring back to back games all day, Trina for her hard work in organising and lastly to our amazing year 5/6/7 students for their impeccable behaviour all day, upholding our school values of confidence, community and respect. Well done girls it was a great day!
